I live in Michigan and I want to sing the praises of our "fall" season. Not only is the weather sublime but the activities are abundant. We have many cider mills and we enjoy fresh ice cold apple cider and hot fresh doughnuts. There is the "Scarecrow" festival right here in out little town. Also, the local theater season revs up and we enjoy going to see plays in Ann Arbor and other local communities. So enjoy your autumn whereever you reside and may your harvest be plentiful.

I am proud to say that I made my first financial contribution to a political campaign the other day. Oh it wasn't much but it made me happy to help out Barack Obama who appears to be a fine man and will make a wonderful President. I have never been much to get involved politically but darned if I will let a clone of G.W. Bush get elected. Grampy McBush would be a disaster so I opened my pocketbook and sent him a few greenbacks. Think about helping out the candidate of your choice and let's try and make this a better world for all.

Today I am singing the praises of bingo! Long a fund raiser for churches and other orgaizations, bingo is a fun way to pass the time. I am taking two "virgins" with me tonight. By virgins, I mean a couple of girls that have never been to bingo. Katie and Kelsey whom I work with. They are are young girls and don't mind spending time with an old "blue hair" like me! lol I bought them each a good luck troll and I will report in a future blog what success we had...if any!
